Paramount Bristol presents A Workshop with Sierra Hull and Justin Moses
World-renowned bluegrass artists – mandolin player Sierra Hull and multi-instrumentalist Justin Moses – will present a workshop at Paramount Bristol. Participation is free, but limited to 25 participants. Musicians of all ages and a range of abilities are invited to apply. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining why you are interested. Participants should bring their instruments and be prepared to listen, play, ask questions and generally have a good time with two of the brightest young stars of bluegrass music. Observers are welcome to attend with a suggested donation of $5.00.
The workshop is made possible by generous support from The Tennessee Arts Commission.
A sensation from the age of 11, Sierra Hull has played the White House, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, and she became the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. She is the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2018 Mandolin Player of the Year.
Justin Moses plays mandolin, guitar, banjo, fiddle, Dobro and bass. In 2018, he was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Dobro Player of the Year. He has appeared on stage with Joe Diffie, Jerry Douglas, Peter Frampton, Barry Gibb, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Hornsby, Sierra Hull, Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, and Brad Paisley, and recorded with Ricky Skaggs and Dan Tyminski.
