The Power of Huey – A Tribute to Huey Lewis and the News
Huey Lewis and the News was a force in the 80’s. Grammy winners, Academy Award nomination for best song, #1 singles, #1 albums, 4 top 10 singles from the Sports album and amazing live shows. Unfortunately Huey suffers from Ménière’s disease, an inner-ear disorder that causes severe bilateral hearing loss, ringing in the ears, and chronic vertigo. Because of that, he can no longer sing or perform. But thanks to Tim Clark and the rest of the talented performers in The Power of Huey, you can witness what it was like to go to a Huey Lewis and the News show in the 80’s. You may know Tim from his younger days as the lead singer of Sugarcreek, probably the most popular band in Myrtle Beach and the Southeast in the 80’s. They were also a semi-finalist on Star Search and released a handful of albums.
So, get ready for all of the Huey hits. Heart of Rock N Roll, I Want A New Drug, If This Is It, Stuck With You, Jacob’s Ladder, Heart and Soul and, of course, The Power of Love from the Back to the Future Soundtrack.
Celebrating the music of Huey Lewis and the News—For the first time ever in the Tri-Cities, it’s The Power of Huey!
