A timeless musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the joy and wonder of Christmas magic in “Scrooge! The Musical” transform the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge in a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night.

Renowned composer of beloved music for Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Doctor Dolittle, Jekyll & Hyde, as well as the love theme from Superman, Can You Read My Mind? and many others, Leslie Bricusse is the writer, composer, and lyricist of “Scrooge! The Musical,” made famous on film featuring Albert Finney before coming to the stage.

This heartwarming and entertaining stage production has played to many Theatre Bristol sold-out houses over the years, with Dickensian characters and the rousing “Thank You Very Much,” “December the Twenty-Fifth,” and “Father Christmas,” the moving “Love While You Can,” “A Better Day,” “Happiness,” and “A Beautiful Life,” and humorous “I Hate People” and “The Minister’s Cat,” and much more, delighting everyone.

Directing the holiday favorite and cast of 40 from around the region is Theatre Bristol veteran, Camille Gray, who made her own theatre debut in the 2003 production and played Christmas Past in more recent versions. She has since gained directing credits for The Diary of Anne FrankTwelfth NightJulius Caesar, and Godspell, and choreography credits of Disney’s The Little MermaidOklahoma!Into the Woods, and The Wizard of OZ. Camille is supported by the creative team of music director Robert Greene, stage manager Nicole Intagliata, scenic designer Luke Gray, costume designer Adriel Slaughter, along with Theatre Bristol crew, and producer Samantha Gray.
