Technology meets historical

After nearly a year of fundraising, Paramount Bristol proudly introduces the latest upgrade to the historic venue. Taking the stage is a video wall that measures virtually the entire length of the stage. It took a crew of seven highly skilled technicians a full day to install the innovative equipment, which is normally only featured in larger arenas.

The sizable display will enhance the patron experience as it adds dynamic visual components during their favorite shows. It will also act as a tool to provide important messaging to attendees, such as digital programs, announcements, emergency information and special promotions. Additionally, this new technology gives the historic venue the ability to better serve the community by providing mechanisms for master classes, lectures and seminars, forums, podcasts, movies and more. Executive Director Jennifer Hayes says, “The programming possibilities are endless. I can’t wait to see how many ways Paramount Bristol can impact the region with this exciting new addition!”

As a non-profit organization, major technology investments, such as the new video wall, would not be possible without the generous and continuous support of our community. Paramount Bristol extends their sincerest gratitude to Shirley Carrier, The McGlothlin Foundation, The Tennessee Arts Commission, Jim & Kay Bunn, Dr. Matthew Riggins, Mike & Debbie Quillen, John Matney, Rick Barger and Clyde Stacy for their key roles in this initiative.
